Animal Babies A to Z

Animal Babies is perhaps Chuck Murphy’s best collection of pop ups, but that’s only because it has the most mechanicals. James also loves Color Surprises, One to Ten, and Black Cat / White Cat (a book about opposites), but Animal Babies comes out on top. I particularly like the panda cub who looks up to cuddle his mommy when the letter P is opened. James’ favorites are the dinosaurs, the snakes, and the zebras. Only danger: when asked what sound a zebra makes, James now says “ZZZZZZ.” Giggle factor: not really. Adult enjoyment: if you like art. Illustrations: five jelly jars (though if you want it to stay that way, put it on the top shelf).
