Little Oink

Little Oink has a problem: because he’s a pig, his parents won’t let him stay clean. Instead he has to mess up his room, throw his towel on the floor, and wear dirty clothes. His reward? He gets to scrub his treehouse. Maybe because James is dying for a treehouse, he loves this book even more than its (almost) equally clever companions, Little Hoot and Little Pea, by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Jen Corace, though James is clearly bothered when Little Oink drags mud into the house ON PURPOSE. Giggle factor: adults high, child low (unless your child is less bothered by the idea of messing up a house than mine). Adult enjoyment: likely. Illustrations: five jelly jars.
