What Do You Do with a Tail Like This?

A Caldecott Honor book by Steve Jenkins and Robin Page, What Do You Do with a Tail Like This? is an interactive adventure through the animal kingdom. Reed Business Information: “Colorful cut-paper collages provide glimpses of the noses, ears, tails, eyes, mouths, and feet of different creatures, showing that each one uses these body parts in a unique and fascinating manner. Combining a guessing game with factual tidbits, the text offers an attention-grabbing introduction to animal physiology.” Especially attention-grabbing is the horned lizard whose eyes squirt blood. Gross!! Giggle factor: if your toddler is like James and you look for your toddler’s tail while reading this book, squeals of laughter will ensue. Adult enjoyment: likely. Illustrations: four jelly jars.
